Roman and Tereya Strong
We are Roman and T — husband and wife, and the photographers behind Blank Space Photography. Based in the heart of the Manawatū, New Zealand, our work is known for its natural light, dreamy colour palettes, and an approach that values connection.
When we’re not behind the camera, our time is centred on family, faith, and creativity. We are deeply rooted in our church community, where Roman leads the creative team, and much of our life is shaped around the rhythms of home and raising our two young children.
Thank you for being here. It is a genuine honour to be invited into your story and trusted to preserve it. We photograph with care, intention, and an awareness that these moments will one day live beyond the present — held on your walls and returned to over time.

Blank Space Photography exists to fill the spaces that matter.
Our work is created with blank walls in mind — quiet spaces waiting to hold meaning, memory, and story.
Each collection is photographed with intention, guided by light, composition, and care. These images are not made for the moment alone, but to endure, becoming works that live in homes, are returned to over time, and grow in significance with the years.
Our Approach
Our approach is thoughtful and guided.
Every sitting is carefully directed, with attention given to light, posture, and placement within the frame. Nothing is rushed or left to chance. We move with intention, allowing space for moments to unfold within a considered structure.
We work with natural light to shape scenes that feel balanced and refined, creating photographs that are composed and considered. Images designed to live beyond the day they were taken.

We value intention over excess, and work created to last. People are photographed with dignity and care, and each season is honoured for what it represents.
